Antarctica Trips

Elephant Island

Located off the coast of Antarctica in the Southern Ocean and the outer reaches of the South Shetland Islands.

It is also the same place where Ernest Shackleton and his crew of the famous ship the Endurance took refuge in 1916 when the vessel became stuck in the ice and later sank.

Paradise Bay

One of the coldest and windiest places on earth. Where oftentimes, temperatures are below freezing. However, the area’s towering mountains and glaciered landscape remain a popular draw for many cruise ships.

The bay is also home to numerous gentoo penguins and underwater wildlife like dolphins, skuas, petrels, seals, sea lions and whales.
